AfC receives funds from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Development (DFATD) for the Emergency AffiliatedRadio service (E.A.R.S. to support training of community members al across Jamaica for the first year. Under this project, training will be expanded to an additional (10) satellite” communities across all parishes in Jamaica, along with provision of radio equipment, for improvement of community resilience through disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery activitieson a daily basis, in coordination with ODPEM, Parish Councils and affected Communities.
